This issue of Campus & Community focused around all of the great things there are available to do in Rexburg. It was designed to help students coming from larger hometowns begin to love the small town feel. Included in the magazine are hot spots for fun dates as well as great places to walk around town to enjoy the outdoors. The gardens made both lists.
Our garden features a variety of flowers and vegetation, several reception areas, beautiful paved walkways, and a few ponds and water features. The flowers throughout the garden are currently being planted by classes and a lot of work has been put into beautifying the Thomas E. Ricks gardens for the summer.

Our aim for the Department of Horticulture at Brigham Young University-Idaho is to nurture understanding of both the art and science of Horticulture. Students learn experimentally in the classroom, laboratory, greenhouse, and ten acre Thomas E. Ricks demonstration garden as they pursue an Associates or Bachelors Degree. Using the medium of plants, students develop habits of hard work, enlightened minds, and healthy living that assist in gainful employment opportunitues.
