                                                                                                Marty Lyon-Board Member, Landscape Architect, Sawtooth Botanical Gardens
                                                                                                The Sawtooth Botanical Garden is located in Ketchum, Idaho. Est. in 1993. For 17 years it was an originally a community garden, but since then it has evolved into a beautiful botanical garden. In 2005 the Dalai Lama came to the garden to bless the Prayer Wheel that is housed in a section of the garden called Garden of Infinite Passion. The prayer wheel is one of two in all of North America. SBgarden.org

                                                                                                In 1976 Clinton Nursery started with one greenhouse selling bedding plants. Now they have 5-acres with several large greenhouses specializing in tropical plants. Scott said "We found our niche and we've stuck with it for more than 30 years". 90% of all their business is tropical plants, ranging at any one time 300-400 different varieties in their greenhouses. With 600 accounts of non-chain stores in the surrounding areas there company is still holding strong. in 1980 Scott Started sweeping floors and over time had become the general manager.

                                                                                                She has 19 years experience in all the different aspects of the Horticulture Industry. Ann talked about the different certifications that horticulturists can receive through INLA. she had some very interesting facts like how Horticulture specialty crops are not subsidized like agriculture crops are. she also reminded us that the INLA gives three to four Scholarships a year and students can receive free membership to INLA.                                                                                                 Is an Alumni of ’95. He says “life is about having fun”. He has 12 years experience as a retail garden center manager, and 5 ½ years as a regional sales manager. Gary emphasized using social media to advertise your business for free. he also talked about how well VPG does without selling to chained stores. there small company makes around a million dollars a year.www.Fertilome.com they also have a Facebook page
