Horticulture Students Find Spring on the Way
L.A. Hub Trip

Horticulture students recently returned from the Los Angeles Hub Trip, February 24-26, sponsored in part by the internship office.  The purpose of the trip was to explore the horticulture industry in the Los Angeles and San Diego areas making network contacts for internships and job prospects.  Students were very successful.  Internships and job prospects were offered to those who wanted them.  Companies contacted were Marina Design Group,  Valley  Crest Companies, Rodger’s Garden Center, Ambius, Euroamerican Propagators, as well as The Huntington Gardens.  Fun was additionally found on the way from swinging around on ariel roots to picking fresh citrus.  There was even time to stop and smell the flowers.  Please consider joining a hub exhibition to the various metro areas around the country.  They are a great career builder and opportunity.
