The Pasadena Rose Parade has evolved from a local Pasadena event starting in 1890, to the national ceremony it is today. On January 1, 2011, the 122th rose parade was themed "Building dreams, friendships, and memories". It is a rule of the parade that all surfaces of the float framework be covered in natural materials. No artificial flowers or plant material is allowed, and nothing can be artificially colored. Thousands of volunteers offer their help for decorating floats and fulfilling other parade operations. A few of our students were able to help this year and had tons of fun. Pictures courtesy of Sister Infanger and Hayley Sheppard.
