Winter 2012 Horticulture Social Reminder 03/13/2012
 After many cancellations and date changes, we are finally ready to announce the Winter Horticulture Social! Come enjoy Brother Dewey's wonderful steaks and socialize with your fellow Horticulture students. We will be having the social on April 4th, 2012 at 6pm in the Benson greenhouses (Rm 275).  Come one Hort. student come all Hort. students. The social is already here, this semester it will be held in the gardens, at 6pm on Sept. 28th. All Horticulture students are invited along with their immediate family (no roommates please); please RSVP so we know how many people to accommodate for. Bro Dewey will be cooking like usual so you can expect your taste buds to be in utter bliss. Come have fun and witness the honoring of current Graduates as well as other awards.  Come and kick back with your fellow Horticulture students and faculty at Bro. Romney's house for the end of the year social. It will be held on the 13th of July from 6pm-8pm. We'll have Bro. Dewey's famous steaks and more. Please RSVP so we know how many people to accommodate for and bring your immediate family(no roommates please) to have some end of the semester fun. The address is 4328 North 740 West Rexburg, ID 83440. North 740 West is a dirt road and once down it, his house is just after the bend .There is a map below to find it.  For your information, the Winter Closing Social will be February 25-26. We will be going to West Piney, a camp located in Swan Valley. There is a lodge, outside toilets, an amphitheater, obstacle course structures, a swing set, tether ball post, soft ball backstop, and a large, long slide from the lodge to the meadow below. We will also be honoring the graduating seniors for the year 2011 with a pinning ceremony. It's going to be a lot of fun! Of course BBQ is tradition, as with previous socials. Spouces and children are welcome to come, just make sure you RSVP so we have enough food! Mark this on your calendars and make the arrangements necessary to come and enjoy the outdoors! FYI: Vans will be available for rides leaving Friday at 4:00 and again at 5:30 in front of the Benson Building. Students are welcome to drive up in their own vehicle but car pooling is recommended since there is limited parking. The time has finally come for another great Horticulture social! Date: Tuesday, July 13th Time: 6:00-9:00 pm Place: Baseball diamond across from the Benson Those invited: All horticulture students and their spouses and children. No fiances, boyfriends/girlfriends, or roommates. Food provided: Dewey's famous steak, rolls, salad, homemade rootbeer It will be a great way to end another semester. WEST PINEY HORTICULTURE CLOSING SOCIAL Information to consider: Will you be taking your own vehicle or need a ride? (The department will be renting vans) Are you staying the night? If so, will you have children staying the night with you.
